Judah. The nation composed of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, called Judah, Isa. 11:12,13; Jer. 4:3, and Jews, [see Jews] ruled by the descendants of David. In the historical books of the Kings and the Chronicles the nation is called Judah, but in the prophecies it is frequently referred to as Israel, as in Isa. 8:14; 49:7.
